COMMUNICATIONS

Our main means of communication during the project will be by satellite, using a portable satellite telephone that uses the Inmarsat Phone system to connect us to the outside world. We will use a Nera Worldphone which will allow voice contact as well as email.using the wonderful Psion series 5 palmtop computer. Power will be courtesy of a solar panel charging a 12V car battery.

As airtime is quite expensive, though $3 a minute is much less than other satellite options, we do not encourage you to email us. Sorry. Instead we will update this website every few weeks. The Psion software will not allow uploading of website files so many thanks so Sean Williams of Calamander Motorcycling who will be looking after this for us.
